Münster: Pregnancies and broodmares in foal were up for sale in today's online auction at the Westphalian Studbook. The most expensive unborn foal with a hammer price of 10,000 Euros was an offspring of Ermitage Kalone, bred from a dam by Emerald van het Ruytershof. Among the broodmares, a daughter of St. Schufro, in foal to the champion stallion V-Power, was on top of the price list with a hammer price of 25,000 euro.
Customers of the Westphalian Studbook made an investment in the future this evening. Pregnancies and pregnant broodmares were up for sale in an online auction. The unborn foals, which will be born in 2024, are all equipped with first-class pedigrees. Of the twelve unborn foals for sale, head number 2 (breeder: Thomas Sagel, Brakel; exhibitor: Sudheimer Hof, Brakel) was the most popular among the international customers. Here, the current Belgian champion Ermitage Kalone was paired with the direct dam line of For Joy van't Zorgvliet HDC, who won the CSI5* with Kevin Staut (FRA). Bids were received from Mexico, Italy and France for this unborn foal, whose dam is a daughter of Emerald van het Ruytershof, before the winning bid of €10,000 was awarded to customers from Germany. Seven of the unborn foals found a new owner this evening. Customers came from all over the world, investing an average of 5,893 euros in their future hope for the show jumping course.
Ten broodmares in foal completed the lot of this online auction. The most popular offer was St. Romantics with the head number 14. The strong-moving St. Schufro/Don Romantic daughter (breeder: Christa Christensen u. Thue Uhre, Denmark; exhibitor: PFERD24 GmbH, Lienen) is in foal to V-Power. The champion stallion of the 2022 Westphalian main licensing impressed the audience in Münster-Handorf exactly one year ago with outstanding performances at the Westphalian Horse Center. His first foal vintage is eagerly awaited next year. 39 bids from eleven bidders were received before the virtual hammer fell at a hammer price of 25,000 euros. The winning bid for this mare was placed by a loyal customer of the Westphalian Studbook. Seven of the broodmares on offer were sold this evening at an average price of 11,071 euro. The sold broodmares found their new owners in six different countries.
With this auction, the Westphalian Studbook realized a total turnover of 118,750 Euros. After the broodmares, the auctions will continue with the sires in exactly one week's time. At the stallion sale following the main licensing on Monday, December 4, the dressage stallions and on Wednesday, December 6, the jumping stallions will be for sale.
