Auctionplace Münster-Handorf
Highest possible quality of each auction candidate, a high variety of horses and content customers are aims of each Westfalen Auction Event. Our Auction commission travels through the whole breeding area and often chooses the auction candidates out of a number of 700 horses. Altogether five auctions take place each year at the Westfalen Equestrian Centre in Münster-Handorf.
Two Elite-Auctions (April / October)
The horses for the Elite Auctions are generally delivered at least four weeks before auction begin. For this time they are trained by a high class team of riders and trainers under constant veterinary supervision. During the whole training period it is possible for our customers to watch and to test the horses. Our customer service is always ready to give advice and to assist you at your stay at Westfalen-Auctions.
Two "Handorf extra"- Auctions (January / May)
"Handorf -extra" Auctions are famous for its' offer of good riding horses on an attractive price level. The training period lasts here for 6 days. During these days customers are invited to watch and test the horses.
Foal Auction "NRW-Pedigree" (August)
Approx. 200 foals (riding horses and ponies) are auctioned.
Westfalen Auction Atmosphere and Services
In a private atmosphere our customers can watch the auction candidates by having a coffee and small snacks. The Westfalen Customer service is always ready to support you at your whole stay in Münster Handorf and arranges dates for testing the horses. Not only customer service is part of the Westfalen service of course all horses run through a profound health check before they get auction permission.
The vetrinary service includes clinically examinations and x-rays (distal joints front legs lateral view (90°) and Oxspring (0°). Distal joints hind legs lateral view (90°), both hocks two oblique views (45° to 70°; 90° to 115°), stifle joint both sides lateral view (90° to 110°), lateral view of the spines.
During the auction period two veterinaries will give detailed information on each horses' vet check results.
